Habrace gets new women’s basketball coach
A new women’s basketball coach is now on board at Harbrace University.
Pam Neubaugher, an assistant coach at Staley College in Pennsylvania, has accepted the position, according to an announcement made by the university today.
Neubaugher takes over for Jess Storey, who resigned at the end of last season after the Harbrace team went 3-22. Harbrace has gone for three years without a winning record.
Despite that record, Neubaugher said the prospects for the team were good and that her first job would be recruiting.
“This area has a number of good high school players,” she said, “and there is no reason they shouldn’t be playing at Harbrace.”
Neubaugher was a six-foot-two-inch player for the University of California at Long Beach and made the all-conference team during her senior year. She is finishing her third year as assistant coach at Staley College.
