Joyce was with 1st Battalion Marines, in-country 1964-1965. Here, he recollects when, as a young Marine, he comes across a bear trap, and thinking it would be a great souvenir. But he realizes it was too obvious and could well have been a booby trap, which were a common and deadly hazards.
