shaping the future of journalism education
Welcome. Today is

Scripps Convergence Lab

The workshop will be held in the Scripps Convergence Lab of the College of Communication and Information at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The lab is located in room 402 of the Communications Building on Circle Park Drive.

The lab, which opened officially on Jan. 29, 2010, provides communication and information students with a transformative facility for creating, writing and producing a variety of projects to prepare themselves for successful careers as working professionals. In the words of the college web site describing the lab:

Much like the beacon featured in the Scripps' logo, students at UT rely on the Torch held by the Volunteer statue to shed light onto others in positive ways throughout the university. The Scripps Convergence Lab will produce extraordinary results as CCI students seek to embody both the Volunteer Creed, "One that beareth a torch shadoweth oneself to give light to others," and the core values of the Scripps Howard Foundation, "improving journalism, a free press, diversity, excellence and service."

The lab is in 402 Communications Building, which is located at 1345 Circle Park Drive. See the map below.
